Heart For Honduras

Welcome to Heart For Honduras! This blog is essentially for me, so that I can document the preparation of the next 4 months leading up to Honduras, and then the trip itself.

I wil be going on a mission trip in January 2012 with Camp Cho-Yeh to Honduras! We are going to be building 2 houses for families who are currently homeless, and will be holding a children's camp for over 300 orphans. We will be gone from the 8th-14th of January.

Today, I was reading out of Jeremiah 1, and fell in love. There were a few verses I especially liked, then one that hit me hard.

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart" (Jeremiah 1:5)

""Do not say "I am only a child" You must go to everyone I send you to andsay whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you" declares the Lord. Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "Now I have put my words in your mouth. See today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms...to build and to plant"" (Jeremiah 1:7-10)

"Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them" (Jeremiah 1:17)

This is my journey of "getting myself ready". Join me as I intentionally pray over the next 4 months for the children who we will impact in Honduras, the families who will receive the homes we will build, and the 20 of us that will be on the trip.
